Hi he know why I’m wearing green in this picture? NO its not for St. Patrick’s day. It is to support the Fight Against Kidney Disease! For those of you who do not know, March is World Kidney Month! I personally support this cause through “The Iya Project” – a Project overseen by The Iya Foundation, Inc. As seen on their official website, here is their Mission statement: “The Iya Foundation, Inc. a New Jersey Non-Profit Organization; aims to save lives by educating and raising awareness on chronic kidney disease as well as raise funds that benefit low income uninsured End Stage Renal Disease Patients.”
The Iya Project was such an inspiration to me that I was quite upset that I forgot to take a green outfit to do an official photo shoot to post when I was in Europe. So even though I just returned, I made it a point to wear this olive green top today to support this cause. I quickly rushed to take this picture with my phone (under horrible lighting) so that’s why the quality is not that good but as they say…its the thought that matters and at the time I took this picture, all I was thinking about was supporting the Fight Against Kidney Disease! My goal in the near future is to interview the Founder of the Iya Foundation, Inc, Iya Bekondo, who herself is a kidney Transplant survivor, as her drive and passion to fight against Kidney disease has always been an inspiration to me especially for the month of March! Look out for more on the Iya Project!
So please support the Fight Against Kidney Disease. This will be an on going battle and not only for the month of March! For more information on how you can help support this cause, please visit The Iya Foundation’s official website at: www.theiyaproject.org and don’t forget to check out The Iya Project’s Facebook Page!
LET’S FIGHT THREE TIMES AS HARD = THE THREE SELFIES
